Review: Sever by Lauren DeStefano

Because of this horrible attempt to create the perfect human race, woman don't get older
then 20 and men don't get older then 25. Rhine has just a few years left and it's time for
her to go and find her brother Rowan. Now that she knows that he is still alive. Together with Linden and Cecily she ran away, away from Vaugn, the creepy/crazy father of Linden. She is willing to do anything to find Rowan. Too bad that Vaughn is not making it any easier for her.
Will she find her brother in time? And what happened to Gabriel? Is he still alive?

I just got to say that I loved this trilogy. This is the 3rd book of the ''Chemical Garden'' series. After reading book 2, ''Fever'', I just needed to know how it ended. The minute I
saw this book in the bookstore, I bought it.
For me this book was a real page turner. I really couldn't stop reading.
What I loved about these books is that you know that it's not reality, but it could be true.
I was really glad with how this book ended, because I really felt some sort of peace.(if that
even makes sense)
For me it was a crazy turn out, but I'm glad L. DeStefano choose to let it end the way it ended.

What I loved about the characters was that Rhine is this really strong and powerful young woman, who is not afraid of taking risks. Even if it'll cost her, her own life. She is very impulsive and I wish I could be more like that, sometimes. I pictured her as this really beautiful, natural looking girl that you just have to stare at when you would see her in real life.
I loved how she would care about everyone else but herself. That reminded me of my own little habit. Caring for the rest and put them first. Yeah, I had not a moment where I could be like:'' Arghh, I don't like you right now or pfff, can you skip this part here please?''
I read it from the beginning till the end.

Cecily surprised me in this book. For a 14 year old, she appeared really strong. Even when she wanted to break down and cry, she didn't and held her head up high. I loved the way she
took care of her baby Bowen, Linden and Rhine. She finally acted like a powerful mom.
And she needed to have a lot of courage to do what she did at the end of the book (no spoiler)

Linden is a sweet men, who just doesn't know much about the world outside his own.
After hearing some crazy stuff about his father he is trying to stick up for his family and Rhine. I really liked reading those parts, because I can imagine how hard it would be to stand up to your own father. Telling him that he is wrong and stuff like that, yeah, not my
peace of cake.

The thing I didn't like was that I did not read a lot about Gabriel. He really stole a piece of my heart in ''Fever'' So that was a bummer.

So, all I can say is that I loved this trilogy. All of the 3 books. Not one of them let me down.
I really liked the covers of all the 3 books. Amazing pictures.
This book has 367 pages and get's a 4,5/5 .

So go and read this amazing trilogy. And if you already read this trilogy, please tell me what your thoughts are about this book.

“It's quiet for a while, and then Rowan says; "We could talk now. We're alone out here. No walls."
"There are always walls." I say.”

Introducing: Me, myself and I

Hello, let me introduce myself. I'm Ramona Lalaine and I'm this big fashion and books fan. I just can't get enough of buying and reading them.
I also got a fashion blog( http://lovelylalaine.blogspot.com) and then I was like
why not also share my opinion on some books?!

My friends and family are not much of a readers. Some of them finally started picking up some books(which makes me really happy), but I still feel really alone when it comes to sharing my joy about some books I've read.
We also don't have many book clubs around here and I have to go to school.
So yeah, I hope you'll enjoy reading my reviews and please feel free to share your opinion,

Lotz of love
